I have a blog?

Oh - my blog! The lame thing about crunch is forgetting that anything other than the work right in front of you exists.Well, unless you've been living under a rock, you might have heard about a little game called The Last of Us. That has been my life for the last 9 months in particular, but in a less life altering state for the 2 years prior to that also.

We finally downed tools at the beginning of June and literally collapsed from the weight on our shoulders. There was little else to do other than sleep for several days straight and try and remember the wife and child that I used to know before work became all consuming (I have to thank my family for the huge amount of support and patience they showed during these times). Then we wait. Whilst those manufacturing plants whirred into gear far over the other side of the world in China, we all sat in our respective catatonic states, waiting for the first reviews to come trickling in - living in terrible fear that the painful crunch of the last few months was a monumental waste of time.

And then they came, 10 after 10 after 10. Even Edge - one of my life goals was to get an Edge 10, and there it was - and the most proud feeling I've had since my son was born. A few other scores dipped into the "really?" territory, but I have to respect other peoples' opinions, not everyone is going to like it after all. Even now there's a few scores still trickling in, still making me smile.

But now I feel a bit empty.

There's a nagging feeling.

We've got to do this again with the next game, except now, we have to make it even better.

Uh oh...
